Inappropriate Songs Played at Augusta County School function.

In the Monday, April 27th, edition of The News Virginian the top story is "Parent: Lewd songs played at school." The News Virginian article, is about a parent who picked up her child from Stuarts Draft Middle School and heard inappropriate songs being played by the school at the function. She states that she immediately removed her child, went home and wrote a Letter of complaint to the Superintendent of Augusta County schools, the Principal of Stuarts Draft Middle School, and to The News Virginian.

I am extremely proud of this parent who is standing firm by her principles and demonstrating that this type of behavior by our schools will not be tolerated, and those who violate that behavior will be held accountable for their actions. I would encourage all parents who find issue with this to voice it to the Superintendent of Augusta County Schools Mr. Gary McQuain, 540-245-5100. Tell him that you want to know how he and Stuarts Draft Middle school are going to respond to this matter and how they will make sure that it doesn't happen again.
